20 Weeks and Counting....

We made it to 20 weeks...wahoo! We had our 20 week UltraSound Thursday and everything looked perfect per Dr Stone.  And Baby H is still a BOY!!!  The night before we thought, "how funny would it be if Baby H is really a girl." Well...i thought it would be funny, I don't think Jesse did.
In other good news, I can feel the baby move which puts my mind at ease.  I think it is slowly becoming more and more real that in December, Jesse and I will be parents.  As scary as that may be, we are really excited.  Every night before we go to bed, we sit in the nursery and just make plans for our future with Baby H in it.  Next up, we wait...we wait for 20 more loooooong weeks before we meet our little guy.

Week 18: Sweet Potatoe

Baby's become amazingly mobile, passing the hours yawning, hiccupping, rolling, twisting, kicking, punching, sucking, and swallowing. And he is big enough that you'll soon feel his movements. (thebump.com)

We have made it to 18weeks!! This pregnancy is flying by...which is why we decided this week it was time to get the nursery started.  It was a long, tiring day but, as most of you know, once I start on something I have to finish it.  Just when Jesse thought all the work was done, he was hanging curtains and shelves to complete the final look.  Still have little touches here and there to do but our firetruck nursery is ready for Baby H. Check out the pictures below.

Other than that, my doctor's appointment this week went well and I heard Baby H's heartbeat loud and clear.  We also got a sneak peek on an "unplanned" US and got to see our little one swallowing, blinking his eyes, and sticking out his tongue. I have felt some fluttering in the past few days and I can't wait until I know for sure it is movement.

Carolina Dreamin'

Sorry for the delay in our weekly update...but we were in North Carolina at the lake all weekend!!! Fabulous food, wonderful family time, and nothing but fun and relaxation with no cell service, it couldnt get any better. Our days started with wonderful breakfasts, followed by a morning on the boat tubing (which Baby "H" thoroughly enjoyed) and water skiing, followed by another delicious meal, and then an afternoon of reading and napping. The night usually ended with an evening cruise around the lake.  The weekend was wonderful and Jesse and I are so thankful for our family and how they opened their doors for us to have a weekend together away from the stress of life.
On a different note....we made it to "Onion Week"...week 17 with Baby "H"

This next week has a doctors visit in it and I am so excited.  Even though it is a 5 minute appointment just to check in, my heart smiles when i hear the heart beat over the doppler.  I am looking forward to when i start feeling Baby "H" start moving around.  Jesse and I have plans to start painting the nursery in a few weeks when we have a weekend off together and I can't wait to get it all together.  I will post pictures, promise.

We hope everyone had a Happy 4th of July...its been a bittersweet holiday for me ever since my father past away...but this year was full of happy memories to help me get through it.  See you next week!
